Vega Scholarship

TELUS World of Science - Edmonton is pleased to invite you to apply for our VEGA Scholarship.  Recipients of the VEGA Scholarship will receive a $250.00 credit towards a 2010 Science or Computer Summer Camp at TELUS World of Science - Edmonton.

The VEGA Scholarship was originated in the late 1980’s by a retired school teacher and long-time TELUS World of Science Volunteer to encourage young scientists to further their interests and learning.





How to Apply:

Please fill out an application available at the school office along with a 100 words (or less) essay on why you should be chosen.

Details:

• Preference will be given to students submitting handwritten work.
• A $250.00 scholarship will be awarded and applied towards cost of camp and pre/post camp supervision only.
• Students must be between the ages of 6-14 to apply and be Alberta residents.
• Application deadline is Monday, March 15, 2010.
• VEGA Scholarship recipients will be selected by Monday, March 22, 2010.
• Scholarship winners will be notified by mail.
• Students must provide own transportation to and from TELUS World of Science during camp.

• Camps range in price from $180.00 - $350.00. Any additional cost beyond $250.00 must be paid for by the recipient.
