Assistant Program Leader (APL) - Summer Camp Placement
Help Others Discover the SCIENCE OF FUN!!
Join our camp staff as an Assistant Program Leader (APL) to help lead young participants on a learning adventure. You will work with a camp instructor in a classroom setting to encourage interactive learning in a variety of science and/or computer camps designed specifically with fun in mind for youth 6-14 years of age. If you have a sincere interest in working with children and a desire to help others develop their knowledge in the area of science, join us to share the “WOW” factor and experience the wonderment of discovery. Previous education or experience supervising and/or teaching children, as well as strong leadership skills, will ensure success in a fun and interactive learning environment.
Summer camps run Monday to Friday. APLs are scheduled a minimum of 3 camps throughout the summer, either morning or afternoon shifts (Mon - Fri). A full-day camp consists of both a morning and afternoon shift and will be considered as 2 of the required "3-camp minimum." Applicants should be a minimum of 15 years of age with Grade 9 science.
